Beverly and I arrived in Israel this week to spend Pesach with family and to mark the 10th Yahrtzeit of my late wife Tina who is buried in Misgav, a community in the Galil that was twinned with the Pittsburgh Jewish Federation that I headed for 23 years.
Last November Beverly marked the 10th Yahrtzeit of her late husband Gary who is buried in Jerusalem.
When Beverly and I got married 8 years ago we spoke about how great it would be if we had a project that we could work on together. Little did we know that that fantasy would be realized through our work with JCCWRP.
Our marriage brought me back to Chicago after a 40 absence. And that decades-long experience elsewhere allowed me to see WRP with a really fresh perspective -- to see not only the challenges but the opportunities for improvement, as well.
It is a vision fulfilled for us to work with each of you for the betterment of our community.
Chag kasher v’sameach -- a happy kosher Passover to you and yours -- from Jerusalem!
